Media Ecology Book Awards

The Media Ecology Association announced its Year 2000 Awards. These included the Marshall McLuhan Award for Outstanding Book in the Field of Media Ecology, which went to Neil Postman for Building a Bridge to the Eighteenth Century: How the Past Can Improve Our Future (New York: Alfred A. Knopf, 1999). Historians can see the wisdom of such a pursuit. Entries for awards for the year 2001, should be sent by February 1, 2001 to Professor Lance Strate, President, Media Ecology Association, Department of Communication and Media Studies, Fordham University, Bronx, New York 10458.
