New SHOT International Scholar

Amy L. Fletcher has been appointed to SHOT’s International Scholars Program. SHOT designates International Scholars “to encourage the Society’s international role, to encourage greater non-U.S. participation in Society activities, and to provide formal recognition of non-U.S. historians of technology.”

This has been a good year for Amy, who received a University of Canterbury Teaching Award for 2001, based on the recommendation of the Teaching and Learning Committee. She also won “Best Lecturer in the Arts Faculty” in the annual poll conducted by the University of Canterbury Students’ Association.
