The IEEE History Committee and the IEEE History Center at Rutgers University will sponsor a conference this summer on St. Johnís, Newfoundland, Canada. This beautiful site marks Marconiís 1901 reception of the first transatlantic radio signal, and it is close to the where the first transatlantic cable landed in 1866.
