What in the thinking of McLuhan, Mumford, Innis, Ong, Fuller, Ellul, and Wiener can help us to make sense of today and tomorrow's worlds? Who is doing comparable thinking today? Does it matter where and how these thoughts are disseminated? Are today's media out of control? If so, to what degree? These and other questions will be addressed at the First Media Ecology Association Conference this June 16-17, at Fordham University's Lincoln Center Campus in Manhattan, New York.
