The Eastern Communication Association, a regional affiliate of the National Communication Association that covers the northeast U.S., will meet April 27-30, 2000, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Sessions will include analyses of communication theorists, such as McLuhan, Mumford, James Carey, and Neil Postman.
150th Anniversary of the Discovery of the Electrical Transmission of the Human Voice by Antonio Meucci - 1849-1999 was celebrated as part of The Week of the Italian Culture in Havana, Cuba, on 19-25 November 1999.
